Select one scene that you found meaningful. Consider the action, the dialogue, music, scenery, etc., Naylor creates to shape the scene. Now, think about how the scene fits into the larger narrative. How does the scene help us make sense of the book as a whole?
In no more than one typed page, revise the scene you selected. Perhaps you'll change parts of the dialogue, the outcome of the events described, or maybe you'll add a character to the action? Your write-up should change the scene and describe how your revised scene impacts the novel as a whole.
Quizzes are due at the beginning of class on Tuesday, October 31st.
